Using our 5 kg Coco Bricks is a breeze. Follow these simple steps to make the most of this fantastic gardening medium:

1. Preparation: Place the desired number of coco bricks in a large container or bucket. Each 5 kg (11 Lb) brick expands to approximately 2.25 cf or 17 gallons of ready-to-use coco coir.

2. Hydration: Add warm water to the container, ensuring that the coco bricks are fully submerged. Allow the bricks to absorb water for approximately 30 minutes. You may gently stir or break up the bricks to speed up the process.

3. Expansion: After the hydration period, the coco bricks will expand and break apart, transforming into loose and fluffy coco coir. Ensure that all the bricks are fully expanded and saturated with water.

4. Drainage: Once expanded, gently squeeze out any excess water from the coco coir. Ensure that the coir remains moist but not overly saturated.

5. Planting: Transfer the expanded coco coir to your desired planting container, pot, or garden bed. Make sure to create adequate drainage holes at the bottom of the container to prevent waterlogging.

6. Nutrient Application: Coco coir has minimal inherent nutrients, so regular fertilization is recommended. You can use liquid or slow-release fertilizers specifically formulated for coco coir cultivation. Follow the instructions provided by the fertilizer manufacturer for the best results.
