Learn more about why Fungal Compost is so important to life on this Earth in this great video below by Dr. David Johnson from Chico State University.

BioVast Vermicompost Care instructions:

BioVast Vermicompost is very much alive with worms and beneficial microorganisms. See above for complete 3rd party biology reports.

Keeping your vermicompost from drying out is important to keep the biology alive.

If buying larger bags 5 or 10 gallons. We recommend storing in some sort of plastic tote with holes drilled into it. This will allow the compost to breath and the worms and biology and fungi to thrive.

Checking moisture content:
-Simply grab a handful and squeeze in your hand.
-The vermicompost should stick together but no water should drip down your wrist. This is called field capacity.
- If Vermicompost does not stick together when squeezed. Then use a spray bottle with chlorine free water to add moisture to the vermicompost.

* Do NOT OVERWATER.
-Overwatering your vermicompost during storage can lead to anaerobic conditions (no air). If you squeeze your compost and water drips down your wrist you are now over field capacity. If this is the case allow compost to air out until desired moisture level is reached.
