I wouldn't know because I placed my order on Jan 2nd and haven't heard anything. I emailed Andrew on January 22nd asking about the status of my order and here it is, 6pm on January 24th, and I still have not heard anything. My order in my account on their website is still showing as confirmed but there is no shipping information. A little communication goes a long way. If I don't hear anything soon I'll have to contact my bank about the charge followed by the BBB. Such a shame because I was really looking forward to some bokashi composting with this airscape lid.

I use this lid to completely seal my kobashi bucket to ensure that it remains anaerobic as it should! It fits a standard 5 gallon bucket perfectly and has made maintaining my bokashi compost so much easier! (and smell-proof)

Great quality, fast shipping. The lids are amazing, at the beginning I got them to do bokashi composting (thank you Wendi Phan for your video showing SD Microbes and how to do bokashi in a small place), but now I'm using them for my bulk food. Just love the lids.

Love these lids! It's SO much easier to get my family to load things into the bokashi bucket now that all they have to do is grip the handle and pull it off, then push it back down again. No need to remove the extra piece of cardboard we'd been using to keep the air off the top of the compost, like we'd been using with the other type of lid. That setup worked, but by the time the bucket was full, the cardboard was soggy and kind of gross where it touched the compost. And I had to cut a new piece of cardboard each time we switched out buckets. These lids are versatile too, and are great on buckets of long term food storage!

I found this helpful for fermenting a pail of bokashi. The only issue I had was with the nitro port piece coming out and getting lost.

These are the best ever! NO stink,maggots or fruit flies!. I bought 5. They work best on the 5 gal buckets with the higher ridge pattern (like what paint or spackle comes in) as it seems like the cheaper buckets are somewhat warped and these lids can bunch up when putting in a warped bucket.so make sure yo have the better thicker buckets. You WON'T be dissappointed! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I own 3 of these lids. 1 for my bulk LAB concentrate and 2 I use on buckets I rotate composting scraps with. Great for long term food storage as well as you can purge the vessel with nitrogen to remove al oxygen.

I wanted to like the Airscape
lid more than I do. Pros: Seals easily and is more comfortable for anyone who has difficulty turning a Gamma Lid. Cons: Inefficient for adding/compressing multiple rounds of kitchen waste—using a clay saucer is faster. For buckets stored outside, a second lid is necessary to prevent rainwater from accumulating on the Airscape lid.

I’m really happy with the Airscape Nitro Inserts that I purchased for my Bokashi buckets. Previously, for each bucket I needed both a lid and a makeshift insert to “press” air pockets out of the food scraps. I used an old dinner plate, but it was definitely not effective. The air tight Nitro Insert serves both purposes, making the whole composting process more efficient, more effective, and cleaner. Composting with BierKashi has been great for my garden and for my environmental anxiety, so I think my upgrading my system with the Nitro Inserts was money well spent.
