I highly recommend Bierkashi for composting!
If you're like me and...
a) are terrified of hundreds (possibly thousands) of worms needed for vermicomposting (worms also don't like citrus or peppers and we eat tons of those)
b) don't have a lot of space cause you live in an urban environment
c) need a scent-free way to compost (who has enough carbon scraps to match their nitrogen ratio and not create a smelly mess in a city?!)
...then definitely consider Bierkashi composting.
I use 5 gallon buckets for my compost and it lives in our bathroom. It has a fermented smell whenever opened but is pretty mild and definitely beats a traditional compost when it's unbalanced (and smells like death). When it's ready, I dump it our traditional roller composter and it decomposes super quickly! Has really simplified composting for me.
